Organizations sometimes need an independent and objective opinion on their financial information or other pertinent criterion as presented in compliance with generally accepted principles.
Audits
Audits represent the highest level of assurance that the financial information being presented is materially correct and can be relied upon. This involves a formal set of financial statements that are structured in a consistent manner. This can be viewed as translating information into a “language” that readers expect and understand. Owners, banks, shareholders, bondholders and other investors, often times impose these requirements for various reasons including debt covenants, return on investment, additional capital needs, etc.
I have over 25 years of professional experience with over 15 directly or indirectly involved in performing full financial statement audits in compliance with all governing bodies and those that issue standards applicable to this service. I welcome discussing your specific needs.
Other Attestations
Sometimes organizations need an auditor’s professional opinion on elements, components, sections of financial or related information. While not a full financial statement audit, the scope is focused on opining on the material correctness of the specific criteria, such as debt covenants, performance metrics utilized for dividends, bonuses, etc.
I have a diverse background and experience to perform parts or all of the work necessary to perform and report on examinations, reviews and agreed-upon procedures in conformance with applicable Attestation Standards.
Compilations
Taking existing information and ‘pulling it together’ for presentation or reporting does not include an opinion on the accuracy or the underlying information, but rather accepts data as provided by the client and essentially summarizes or “compiles” the information for a targeted audience/reader.
